Total votes cast, \(T = \frac{942568}{0.4} = 2356420\)
Remaining votes = 60% of \(T = 0.6 * 2356420 = 1413852\)
He needs 10% more votes to get at least 50% of all votes
10% of \(T = 0.1*2356420 = 235642\)
\(\frac{235642}{1413852}*100 = \) 16.66% ~ 17%
Hence, the Answer is D
