The entire wall will be covered with tile and no tiles will be cut. Each tile consists of 16 smaller squares, each with sides of length 4 inches in the pattern shown in the diagram above. Area of the rectangular wall = 12 * 8 = 96 sq.ft = 96 * 12 * 12 sq.inches

Area of each tile = 16 * 16 sq.inches

Number of tiles = (96 * 12 * 12)/(16 * 16) = 54

Each tile has 4 blue squares --> Number of blue squares = 54 * 4 = 216

Answer: B
