Re: GRE at home - Logistic quesion [#permalink]
Hi all,

Another logistic question: can we use earplugs for the GRE at home?

I have taken my GMAT mock with earplugs at home and my real GMAT with a noise cancelling headphone at the test center.

What's the situation for GRE at home?

I read in reddit:

Hi! So you took your GRE at home and the Proctor finally allowed you to use ear plugs during the exam? Because first I contacted ETS and they told me to contact ProctorU. When I called ProctorU they freaking didn't give me a straightforward answer. At first they said, "It depends on what ETS allows" -_- but then I told them "THEY TOLD ME TO ASK YOU!" Ultimately, ProctorU told me to check with my proctor on the day of to make sure they are ok with it.

Thanks!

Hey,

The ProctorU answer is correct. You will have to ask the proctor for the earplug on the exam day as giving exam at the test center is totally different.
