First let us know the terms we are dealing with..
1) Range:- it is the positive difference between the highest and lowest values of a set.
So |50-15|=35
2) Mode :- it is the number that recurs the max.
So 40 , as 40 gets repeated the max number of times.
Positive difference = |40-35|=|35-40|=5
