Given that ¥(x) = 10x − 1 and we need to find the value of ¥(5) − ¥(3)
To find ¥(5) we need to compare what is inside the bracket in ¥(5) and ¥(x)
=> We need to substitute x with 5 in ¥(x) = 10x − 1 to get the value of ¥(5)
=> ¥(5) = 10*5 − 1 = 50 - 1 = 49
Similarly, ¥(3) = 10*3 − 1 = 30 - 1 = 29
=> ¥(5) − ¥(3) = 49 - 29 = 20
So, Answer will be D
