Given
\(6 < 2x – 4 < 12\)
10 < 2x <16...................add 4 in all parts
5 < x < 8....................divided by 2
We get a range pf values . So x could be 6 or 7.
Only option c matches. C is the best answer. Note: this is could be true question.

Given that \(6 < 2x – 4 < 12\) and we need to find a possible value of x out of the answer choices
\(6 < 2x – 4 < 12\)
Adding 4 on all the sides we get
6 + 4 < 2x - 4 + 4 < 12 + 4
=> 10 < 2x < 16
Dividing by 2 on all the sides we get
=> 5 < x < 8
=> 7 is a possible value of x
So, Answer will be C
