Re: The probability of throwing an even number on a fair, six-sided die [#permalink]
Quantity A:: The probability of throwing an even number on a fair, six-sided die

When we roll a fair six sided dice then we have 6 choices form 1 to 6.
Out of these 6 choices 3 numbers are even 2, 4, 6

=> Probability of throwing an even number = \(\frac{3}{6}\) = \(\frac{1}{2}\) = 0.5

Quantity B: = \(\frac{6}{3}\) = 2

Clearly, Quantity B(2) > Quantity A(0.5)

So, Answer will be B
Hope it helps!
