What is k if 3.5+0.125/2.5

Some of these terms beg to be put into fractions, so start with mixed numbers:
(3 5/8) = 29/8
2.5 = 5/2
70+2.5 = 72.5 = 145/2
Therefore, we can rewrite the left side as as (29/8)/(5/2) = 58/40 = 29/20
And we can rewrite the right side as (145/2)/k = 145/2k
This leaves us with 29/20 = 145/2k. Now cross-multiply: 29*2k = (145(20))
29*2k = 2900 divide by 29 (we have to get rid of that ugly prime!)
2k = 100
k = 50
Answer C
