Notice that \((x-1)^2\) will be greater than or equal to zero for all possible values of x.
On the other hand, \((x-1)^3\) can be positive, negative, or zero.
Given all of this let's test some values...
If x = 1, then we can immediately see that the two quantities are equal.
If x = -1, then we can see that the two quantities are not equal [quantity A will be positive, and quantity B will be negative]
Answer: D
