First, for an inscribed circle, in a square, with radius r, the diameter = side of the square.
The area not in the circle =(2r)^2 - πr^2 = 4r^2- πr^2 = r^2 (4- π)
Now, r ≥ 1; if r =1, then quantity B is greater; and, if r = 2, then quantity A is greater; thus, the answer is D.
