One of my favorite QC strategies is called "Looking for Equality" (free video on this topic here: http://www.greenlighttestprep.com/modul ... on?id=1099).
In this strategy, I first look for values of x such that the two quantities are equal.
I see that, x = 0 satisfies the inequality |x^3| < 64
Here, we get:
Quantity A: -x = -0 = 0
Quantity B: |-x| = |-0| = 0
Since the 2 quantities are EQUAL in this case, the correct answer is EITHER C or D
Now, try another value of x.

Well, x = 1 satisfies the inequality |x^3| < 64
Here, we get:
Quantity A: -x = -1 = -1
Quantity B: |-x| = |-1| = 1
Here, the 2 quantities are NOT EQUAL

So, the correct answer is D

Let's take X=-7
both quantities are same.....
here we go C, And ignore A,B
,
When X=7
quantity B is greater
we have already ignored A,B And C option is gone.
we only left with D...........

Be careful.
The question tells us that |x^3| < 64
So, if we choose a value of x to test, that value must meet the given condition that |x^3| < 64
In this case, |7^3| is not less than 64
So, we can't use the value x = 7.

Cannot be determined!
Take x=7 the first inequality is satified and Quantity B is greater than Quantity A. Now take -7 the first inequality is satified and Quantity A= Quantity B.

So it cannot be determined!
