"Thirty-five hundredths divided by four thousandths" = 35/100 ÷ 4/1000
= (35/100)(1000/4)
= 35,000/400
= 350/4
Mental math tip: One way to divide by 4 is to divide by 2 and then divide the result by 2
So, take 350, and divide by 2 to get 175
Then divide 175 by 2 to get 87.5
Answer: E
