This is a standard probability problem in which we are looking for at least 1 case (Case 1 or 2). The probability that a randomly selected employee is a female or Caucasian is p(female) + p(Caucasian) - p(both female and Caucasian) = 58/100 + 38/100 - 18/100 =78/100=39/50
