2a+2b=20
4a+2b=14
we get -2a=6 or a=-3
Therefore b=13
Answer is (C)

Given:
\(2a + 2b = 20\)
\(4a + 2b = 14\)
Since we need to find the value of variable b, let's eliminate variable a.
Multiply both sides of the top equation by \(2\) to get:
\(4a + 4b = 40\)
\(4a + 2b = 14\)
Subtract the bottom equation from the top equation to get: \(2b = 26\)
Divide both sides by \(2\) to get: \(b = 13\)
