If abc > 0, then EITHER all three variables are positive, OR exactly two of the variables are negative.
Given this, there's no way to tell the signs of b and c.
So, it certainly seems like the answer will be D.
So let's test some values.
Case i: If abc > 0, it could be the case that a = 1, b = 1 and c = 1
So we get:
QUANTITY A: 1 + 1
QUANTITY B: 0
In this case, Quantity A is greater
Case ii: If abc > 0, it could be the case that a = 1, b = -1 and c = -1
So we get:
QUANTITY A: (-1) + (-1)
QUANTITY B: 0
In this case, Quantity B is greater

The comparison cannot be determined as any of the three terms A, B, or C can effect the outcome, therefore b+c can either be positive or negative.
Explore the possibilites for A, B and C and you would see that we can either have all terms positive or 1 term positive and the other two negative.
The answer is (D)
