actually you have to perform the multiplication and find the relative values. I.E. you have to find the placeholder

8×3=24 and 7 \times 3 = 21 + 2 – 23

Since 7 \times 8=56

A = 3 and B = 6

B is the answer

I fixed the stem above because in the book was not clear.

It is just an elementary multiplication
