Quantity A: [(z-1)² + (z+1)²]/2
Quantity B: z²

Quantity A: [(z² - 2z + 1) + (z² + 2z + 1)]/2

Quantity A: [2z² + 2]/2
Quantity B: z²

Quantity A: z² + 1
Quantity B: z²

Subtract z² from both quantities to get:
