Kudos for R.A.E
The perimeter of square is =\(4 * side\)
and the perimeter of rectangle = \(2 *(Length + breadth)\)
Now give,
\(4S = 2* (x + x + 6)\) ( S = side of the square i.e. given)
or \(4S = 4x + 12\)
or \(S = x + 3\)
Hence option C

the perimeter of rectangle = x+x+x+6+x+6 = 4x+12
side of square= 4x+12 /4= x+3
side of square= 4x+12 /4= x+3
