\(g(2) = -f(2 - 1) + 1 = -f(1) - 1 \)

Since \(f(1) = 0,

g(2) = 0 - 1 = -1.\)

If the graph of \(y = f(x)\) is shown above and \(g(x) = -f(x - 1) + 1\), what is the value of \(g(2)\)?

(A) -2

(B) -1

(C) 0

(D) 1

(E) 2


\(g(2) = -f(2 - 1) + 1 = -f(1) + 1 \) Note, in the OE, it seems the addition symbol turned into a subtraction symbol

Since \(f(1) = 0\), we get: \(g(2) = 0 + 1 = 1.\)

Answer: D

\(g(x) = -f(x - 1) + 1\)

=> g(2) = -f(2-1) +1 = -f(1) + 1

y = f(x)
=> f(1) will be the value of y in the given figure when x = 1 which is 0
As the graph passes through the point (1,0)
=> f(1) = y = 0

=> g(2) = -0 + 1 = 1

So, Answer will be D
