Let us say there are 8 candies namely A,B,C,D,E,F,G,H
we are supposed to pick 3 piece for each pack. However order does not matter. In other words if we have a 3 pack candies as ABC we cannot have another pack as BAC they would be same. Hence this is a combination problem.

(A) \(8C_2\)
(B) \(8C_3\)
(C) \(8P_2\)
(D) \(8P_3\)
(E) \(\frac{8P_3}{2!}\)
Would AABC be exactly 3 different types of candy? I think the problem should specify the gift pack size
