This is however is an assumption the author is making.Alternative explanations such as - Expensive theaters, comfort from home watching may also result in consumers pirating DVDs

B. Some people who would otherwise purchase pirated DVDs would be willing to purchase legitimate DVDs if they were less expensive and released earlier than they are now.(This is valid assumption, if the customers are not willing to purchase legit DVD , then releasing earlier and with lower price is of no use. So correct)
