OFFICIAL EXPLANATION QUESTION #2

Did you notice that the question is asking you to apply information to come up with your answer? While choice A provides an accurate description of what the sentences do in the passage, it doesn't describe the primary purpose of the two groups of words in bold type. You can also eliminate choices C, D, and E because they don't accurately explain the purpose of the word groups. Choice B is the best answer-the most accurate answer-but only reading through all the answer choices will assure you of this.
