In order to solve, first we must figure out what percentage 240 is of 1,200 :
$$
\(\frac{240}{1200}=0.2\)
$$
So we know that we want a value greater than $\(20\) %$.
Out of our known values, we see that only (E) qualifies.
To check the other two, we must figure out the values of $x$ and $y$.
When we add all known values, we get $\(58\) %$, which means that $\(x+y=42\) %$.
We also know that $\(x=y\)$, so we can plug in $\(y +y=42\)$ :
$$
\(\begin{aligned}
2 y & =42 \\
y & =21 \\
\text { so, } x & =21 .
\end{aligned}\)
$$
This means that both $x$ and $y$ are greater than $\(20 \)%$, so both are correct.
Answers (A), (B), and (E) are correct.
