Re: QOTD # 3 The successful tech company faces an [#permalink]
Can anyone help me?

Here The successful tech company faces an ironic problem in the fall quarter; people are so excited about the next (i) ________ of its product, which will be released over the holidays, that they refuse to purchase the (ii) _________ version.

So people can be excited because of the new product's ingenuity or feature, no ? why are they excited if its iteration or the repetition of its previous success?

Hey turkish

So here the sentence is saying this:

There is an ironic problem: people are excited about the next generation/version of the product, to be released in the holidays, so they are not buying the present version.

For blank 1; there is a chain that people will buy a new version of the same product and they refuse to buy the present version.

First word to be looked into is IRONIC = happening in a way contrary to what is expected, and typically causing wry amusement because of this.

so tone is negative clearly.

iteration = a new version of a piece of computer hardware or software.

we are clear now this particular word is suitable in the first blank..........

New version is going to be rolled out in the market thus people are excited.........it was cause clause ...

then what is the result...........customers refuse to use the current version

So , the best answer is C , E.
