5% sales tax on the portion of a purchase price that is greater than $200.
the customer pays - $830
so the taxable price will be :- 830-200 = 630
5% tax is levied and the resultant price is 630
the price without tax = \(\frac{630}{1.05}\) = 600
The purchase price = 200 + 600 = 800
