If x and y are distinct prime numbers, which of the following could be true?
A. \(\frac{x^y}{y}\) is an odd integer
B. \(x^2y^3=x^2\)
C. \(\frac{y^x}{4}\) is an even integer
D. \(\frac{xy}{2}\) is an even integer
E. \(x^y=y^x\)
The keyword here is COULD.
Scanning the answer choices, I see that C could be true.
If x = 2 and y = 3, then (x^y)/4 = (2³)/4 = 2, and 2 IS an even integer.
Answer: C
