why is B not an answer? Can somebody explain please?

One point I can think of is: ignorance cannot be inherent.

Re: His inherent (i) ________________ leisure [#permalink]
"His inherent (i) ________________ leisure proved beneficial to his finances but (ii) ________________ his personal development, since he never gave himself time to pursue hobbies."

Meaning: His internal dislike for leisure proved beneficial for finances but disadvantageous to his personal development.

A- Consumption means utilisation which is illogical here.
B- Ignorance means incomprehension. Can fit.
C- Aversion means strong dislike. Works.

The way I see it incomprehension about leisure can't prove beneficial as dislike can because when you dislike something you actively seek to NOT do it, which can't be said for something you're ignorant about.

D- Deleterious means harmful. Good fit.
E- Fortuitous means happening by chance. Illogical.
F- Derivative means imitative. Illogical.
