Starting from bcd = 12. Let us pick numbers where if multiplied together will equal 12.
If b=4, c=3, d=1
Then bcd=>4*3*1=12
Now cde = 0
Since c=3, d=1, implies that "e" must be equal to 0 for the equation cde to equal 0
hence cde=> 3*1*0
Finally, to the equation abc
From the above we know that b=4, c=3, hence "a" must be equal to 0 for the equation abc=0 to stand.
Therefore abc=> 0*4*3
This therefore concludes that "a" = 0 and "e"=0. Hence the correct answer is C
