\(xy = –60\)
\( yz = –50\)
Divide the top equation by the bottom equation to get: \(\frac{xy}{yz}=\frac{-60}{-50}\)
Simplify to get: \(\frac{x}{z}=\frac{6}{5}\)
Since \(\frac{x}{z}\) is POSITIVE, we know that x and z are the SAME SIGN (ie, both positive or both negative)
If x and z are the SAME SIGN, then the product xz is POSITIVE
Answer: A
