Solution:
For quantitative comparison questions, try not to use number and unless stated. Because it is open for wide probability. Rather compare the two quantities.
Qty A:2(y+z)-6=2y+2y-6
Qty B:2(x+y)+6=2x+2y+6
Adding 6 in both quantities and subtracting 2y
A: 2z
B:2x+12
Dividing both by 2
A:- z
B:- x+6
Now x<y<z, let's say that x=x and as these are consecutive numbers the further number will be formed by adding 2 to the previous number
Thus z=x+4
Therefore,
A: x+4--subtracting x+2=0
B: x+6--subtracting x+2=2
0<2
Qty A<Qty B
IMO B

Pick numbers,
x<y<z as 2<4<6
Quantity A
2(y+z)-6
=2(4+6)-6
=20-6
=14
Quantity B
2(x+y)+6
=2(2+4)+6
=12+6
=18
Thus Quantity B is greater.
Pick numbers,
x<y<z as 2<4<6
Quantity A
2(y+z)-6
=2(4+6)-6
=20-6
=14
Quantity B
2(x+y)+6
=2(2+4)+6
=12+6
=18
Thus Quantity B is greater.
