"If 3 of the people who are currently in line ahead of Shandra purchase tickets and leave the line" here, said that, leave the line, then my question is if 3 people gone then why I add 3 persons at the last? My answer is 19! But here the answer is 22
Can you explain, please?
The issue here is the language. Since there is an 'if' in the question the final answer expected is the total number of people in the line originally. Which is 22.
However you are correct that there are 19 people in the line when three people leave the line (22-3=19).
Since the question is based around 'IF three people leave the line'.
Hope this helps.
PS: This is not the best wording for a GRE question
