\(x=y+(\frac{100}{3})*\frac{1}{100}*y\)
\(x=(1+\frac{1}{3})y\)
\(x=\frac{4}{3}y\)
\(y=\frac{3}{4} x\)
\(y=(1-\frac{1}{4})x\)
\(y=x-\frac{1}{4}x\)
\(y=x-\frac{1}{4}*100 \% x\)
\(y=x-25\%x\)
Hence, answer is D.
\(x=(1+\frac{1}{3})y\)
\(x=\frac{4}{3}y\)
\(y=\frac{3}{4} x\)
\(y=(1-\frac{1}{4})x\)
\(y=x-\frac{1}{4}x\)
\(y=x-\frac{1}{4}*100 \% x\)
\(y=x-25\%x\)

Another approach is to find values of x and y that satisfy the given information.
Given: x is \(\frac{100}{3}\) percent more than y
100/3 percent = 33.333...% = 1/3
So, we are (indirectly) told that x is 1/3 greater than y.
So, it COULD be the case that x = 4 and y = 3
The question: y is what percent less than x?
In other words, 3 is what percent less than 4?
3 is 1 less than 4
1/4 = 25%
Answer: D
