Using the concept: |๐ฅ โ ๐| => distance of ๐ฅ from ๐.|๐ฅ + 2| => |๐ฅ โ (โ2)| => This expression implies distance of ๐ฅ from (-2). We need to find, at which value of ๐ฅ (from A to E) is |๐ฅ + 2| minimum, i.e., distance of ๐ฅ from -2 is minimum.
Among the options (from A to E) B is closest to -2.
Hence, point B is the answer.
