Im not sure if my method was correct, but I was able to do it in a minute.

85 is the mean he received are a certain amount of exams. Afterwards he took 2 more and received an average of 81.

So I picked 3 for the numbers of exams he took for the first average.

85*3 = 255

Then he took 2 more exams so now he took 5 tests. 5* 81 = 405.

405-255 = 150

To get average of the 2 new exams divide the sum by 2 = 75. Therefore B is greater.
