Mean is 9 ,so average will be 9+2=11;
3+7+9+14+x=11*5
x=55-33=22

Since we're told the numbers are ordered from least to greatest, we can see that the MEDIAN = 9
We're told that the average (arithmetic mean) is 2 greater than the median
So, the MEAN = 11
In other words, (3 + 7 + 9 + 14 + x)/5 = 11
Multiply both sides by 11 to get: 3 + 7 + 9 + 14 + x = 55
Simplify: 33 + x = 55
Solve: x = 22
