Hello brent, please explain this step by step by taking exact symbols as in the question, and also how is 1-x= x-1

There was a small mistake in the solution provided by @IlCreatore

I've edited IlCreatore's solution, AND I've added one extra step to show how we get \(2-x\)

I still don't see any change, can you solve it step by step, showcasing what does the symbol comes to and how has A become equal to B, I am sorry but i am simply unbale to comprehend it.

Basically \(\spadesuit\) \(x\) is = \(\frac{1}{x-1}\) and is what then you do have inside the parenthesis

At this point is like to have \(\spadesuit\) \(\frac{1}{x-1}\)

So you have to substitute \(\frac{1}{x-1}\) in the X in the denominator

Therefore we do have

\(\frac{1}{\frac{1}{x-1 }- 1}\)

at this point, you need to do the LCM

\(\frac{1}{\frac{1}{x-1}-1} = \frac{1}{\frac{1}{x-1}-\frac{x-1}{x-1}} = \frac{1}{\frac{2-x}{x-1}} = \frac{x-1}{2-x}\).

As chetna9 pointed out

C is the answer
