Murray suggests that both women’s and men’s perspectives changed, mostly because of America’s success in the war, leading to rapid population growth. However, this position ignores the many middle- and lower-middle-class women who continued working in factories and who contributed to the dramatic surge in population. Regarding this subset, the more plausible view is that couples were more likely to conceive based on

The part in bold is what Murray suggests. Actually, his position regarding the rise of births.

The red parts are what he didn't account for.

From this B is the answer.

the others are not mentioned clearly in the passage.

Hope this helps.

PS: reead super very careful. All the information are contained in the passage.

Option A says that he ignored the role women play in dual-income households.' This is incorrect as not all the women of that society played a role in dual-income households. Some women played that role. He did not ignore consciously but he did not mention that because his oversight was not complete, it was partial.
Option B says that he failed to account for a particular segment of society This is correct as he did not consider the lower or lower-middle-income women who were living in dual-income households.
Option C might be correct but the passage didn't mention it, rather the passage indicated that there were some women who played dual-income households.
Option D is incorrect as he didn't emphasize the women who were working in the factories.
Option E is incorrect as he didn't only consider the women's perspective, rather he considered both men's and women's perspectives.

Answer to the question No. 2 is credible.
Plausible means credible, reasonable, and logical.

Option A is not correct because acceptable may not be always logical. Here the final sentence of the passage is both logical and acceptable. So A can not be the option.
Option B is not correct because which is common may not be logical.
Option C is correct as credible means logical.
Option D is not correct as praiseworthy means complementation to someone which does not convey the idea of being logical.
Option E is incorrect as controversial and logical are two different things. Controversial is a negative word but there is no negative logic in the last sentence.
So the correct answer is Option C, credible.
