OFFICIAL EXPLANATION QUESTION #3

The question asks us to find evidence that members of advantaged groups may behave differently from members of disadvantaged groups when confronted with perceived discrimination. Based on our understanding of the passage, we know that members of advantaged groups are discussed in paragraph 3, so we can search there.

The final sentence states, "In small-scale individual testing, however, where men have perceived a specific experience to be discriminatory in nature, this has actually resulted in an increase in self-esteem related to their assumed disadvantage." The keyword "actually" helps indicate that men's increase in selfesteem contrasts with women's reaction to a similar situation (Paragraph 2 tells us that discrimination led women to doubt their own abilities and perform worse). Thus, choice (H), the final sentence of the passage, is the correct answer.
