I know E is tempting, but the author doesn't support the claim. In the last sentence, the author criticizes Temoshotka for reaching too far.



why D is the correct answer:

- While Temoshotka cannot be faulted for the boldness of her thesis (the author applauds the boldness of the undertaking)

- she fails to make a convincing case (the author questions the validity of her claim)



2: C

The author somewhat agrees with Temoshotka that those 2 identities of Nabokov could relate to each other. However, the author notes that with enough ingenuity, one can find parallels in almost anything, implying that Temoshotka's thesis, while partially valid, is overly ambitous.
