Jaundiced conveys the meaning of cynical/skeptical
Also in the sentence we need a word that has to convey a meaning of doubtful IMO
So how jaundiced is considered wrong?

Jaundiced is more like bitterness and resentment. Also cynical and skeptical are not the same thing.
