Re: How to score well on AWA? [#permalink]
You note the following: The vast majority of students get between 3.0 and 6.0, which can be considered a “good score” in general.

How is it possible that 3.0 is a good score when it's in the 18th percentile? I.e. allegedly 82 percent of all test takers score higher?

Can you provide a terse compendium of what is needed to score 4.5 and above?

When writing in the essay box, should I try to indent each paragraph, or just 'enter' for a new paragraph? I noticed when doing the Powerprep that the tab bar did not work for indentation.

I do think is a negligible detail if the paragraphs are separated from each other.

The most important thing is the AWA itself.

Look at here for more strategies to tackle at the best the section.

One of the interesting sections of the GRE. In short, this section assesses critical thinking and analytical writing skills. It also tests the ability to articulate and support complex ideas so at the very least you need to be able to express these ideas in clear language.
Well explained!!
