politicians life is treated "skimpily" but NO FAULT OF AUTHOR. I was confused between hapharzardly and dilgent. but sentence itself says "no fault of author". Thus, diligent is appropriate here.
As she made "diligent" efforts at interpreting/researching all the publicily available data.
Thus, her research was able to provide "abundant" data about the politician.
