the first blank can be understood by the phrase next to it: "with little respect to authority". which shows that he has no fear of authority. so the first blank is fearlessly. and again the second blank is understood by the phrase next to it: "hollow conformism". he finds something hollow. so he detests it. and for the third blank, it is given that he inherited wealth, which is sufficient for his life. which means that he managed the wealth good enough so he could have the money till the end of his life. if he was very miser, the wealth wouldve lasted even after his death. and if he was a profligate, the money would be completed before his death. so option 2- "astute management" which means "wise management" is correct.
