The fact that as un usual word does not mean is not a good questions. this , particularly, word appeared in a question.

Yes, I agree. In fact, I have shown how you can arrive at the answer using logic. So, yes this is a good GRE question. I retract my earlier statement. Plus encomiastic is nothing but the adjectival form of encomium, a well known GRE word.
