\( y = (\frac{1}{3})x^2 + 2\) and \(y = (-\frac{1}{9})x^2 + k\)
\((3,t)\) is the point of intersection, so it will suffice both the equations.
Take \(x = 3\) & \(y = t\)
\( y = (\frac{1}{3})x^2 + 2\)
\(t = \frac{9}{3} + 2\)
\(t = 5\)
Now,
\(y = (-\frac{1}{9})x^2 + k\)
\(t = \frac{-9}{9} + k\)
\(5 = -1 + k\)
\(k = 6\)
Answer 6
