You can just write 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 instead of 110, 111 ...
Total: 4+3+4+1+2+2 = 16 days
Sum: 0*4 + 1*3 + 2*4 + 3*1 + 4*2 + 5*2 = 32
Average: sum/total
32/16 = 2. So, the answer is 112

This is a weighted average problem. Do not simply average 110, 111, 112, 113, 114, and
115. Instead, take into account how many times each number appears. The chart is really another way
of writing:
110, 110, 110, 110
111, 111, 111
112, 112, 112, 112
113
114, 114
115, 115
In other words, the average temperature reading is really an average of 16 numbers. The easiest way
to do this is:
(110*4+111*3+112*4+113*1+114*2+115*2)/16 = 112
Use the calculator—the correct answer is 112.
115. Instead, take into account how many times each number appears. The chart is really another way
of writing:
110, 110, 110, 110
111, 111, 111
112, 112, 112, 112
113
114, 114
115, 115
