GIVEN: The sum of four consecutive integers is –2
Let x = the smallest integer
So, x+1 = the next integer
So, x+2 = the next integer
So, x+3 = the next integer
So, x + (x + 1) + (x + 2) + (x + 3) = -2
Simplify: 4x + 6 = -2
Subtract 6 from both sides to get: 4x = -8
So, x = -8/4 = -2
We get:
QUANTITY A: -2
QUANTITY B: -2
Answer: C
