Qty A can be written as \(4^y\) = \(2^{2y}\)
and QTY B can be written as = \(\frac{1}{2^{-x}}\) = \(2^x\)

Just remember that
2-¹ = 1/2
1/2-¹ = 2
2-¹ = 1/2
