We can solve this question using matching operations (see the video lesson below )
Given:
Quantity A: \(2x^2\)
Quantity B: \(3x^3\)
Since \(x^2\) must be positive, we can safely divide both quantities by \(x^2\) to get:
Quantity A: \(2\)
Quantity B: \(3x\)
Divide both quantities by \(3\) to get:
Quantity A: \(\frac{2}{3}\)
Quantity B: \(x\)
Since it's given that \(x > 1\), we know Quantity B is greater than Quantity A
Answer: B
