Murray's current age is 4 years.
In 12 years: \(4+12=16=4 \times 4\).
To be 8 times as old: \(4+t=8 \times 4=32 \Rightarrow t=28\) years.

Let Murray's current age be x
x + 12 = 4x
-3x = -12
x = 4
8 times 4 years is 32, how many years to get to that
